Plug It! is a advertising campaign that focuses on one thing: letting people know that if you don't wear earplugs at concerts, your hearing is damaged… FOREVER.

Concerts and events, while bursting with energy and excitement, also carry a significant risk: hearing damage.

Exposure to high decibel levels without adequate protection can lead to irreversible hearing loss.

This study delves into the serious risks of loud noise exposure in such environments, examining the widespread nature of the issue, the lack of sufficient safety measures taken by attendees, the severe outcomes of prolonged exposure, and the demographics most affected by this problem.

Social proof is highly effective in marketing as it makes you go, “Oh if this person likes it I probably will too”. It helps make the decision for you.

Both of these ads hit on social acceptance, that they

don’t disrupt the sound, and redirection of specific brands

that will work for them.

Other campaigns in the future could potentially have partnerships with said companies or even celebrity endorsements like Ozzy Ozbourne and his quote.

An example of what a Plug It! campaign ad might look like.

(We are no actors… or film crew. But we did our best!)

It simulates a drug deal. We don’t want to go in with the

fear appeal because that might not work according to

what we know about peer pressure.

We want to create a welcoming environment that shows that people can wear earplugs without the negativity from peers.

A booth that gives out free earplugs at concerts to combat the fact that earplugs are kind of expensive, but if shown useful, people will be more willing to pay that money to protect thier ears.
